Considerations of Felt For Paper Mill

After the renewal of the paper press felt  and the operation of the paper machine, the following work should be done before sizing.

1. Adequate wetting and washing time. The early use of paper mill felt, because of its high water content, the vacuum of vacuum chamber should be increased, and try to avoid taking the wrong way off the new paper making felt washing water. Of course, initial speed increases the service life of the blanket. Increasing the speed forcibly in the initial stage will lower the service life of the blanket.    

2. Adjust the tension of blanket, the tension of the blanket should be gradually raised, the test run shall be accelerated gradually, and the pressure roller shall be gradually pressurized to prevent deviation and discount. Once the paper making felt is well adjusted, the shape of the felt can not be changed at will, otherwise it will seriously affect the service life. In case of deformation of the mark line during use, correct in the correct way. 

3. The new paper mill felt should be avoided not washing, not fully running up.

Use and Maintenance of Paper Press Felt

When new paper press felts are on the machine, they need adequate wetting. At the crawl speed, the surface of the paper press felt is evenly sprayed with a warm lye of 5%~ 8% (or a special emulsion), so that the press felt can be fully washed and cleaned. When the paper mill used press felt is running for a certain period of time, there are signs of clogging. Use 10% ~15% lye to wash 5~8min, then rinse it with clean water, and can also use a special felt wash solution for the size of the slurry.
